They try to confuse imo, using $US in what they were hoping to raise, $AUS in what they actually raised and then number of entitlements left over for the book build (ie. no dollar value).
If however you convert everything into the same currency value ($AUS) then you get a clearer picture.
The way I worked it out, after the big 3 participated (announcement 20/12) they raised $AUS39.7 m.
After the retail offer concluded they raised AUS$44.86m in total.
So difference being the retail take up of $AUS 5.16m.- They had a short fall of 1.34b entitlements which translates to $AUS13.4m
Iv'e calculated the retail take up offer was approx 27.8% of the available retail entitlements with approx 72.2% not taken up and going to the book build.
Everyone can make up their own mind if that was a successful take up from smaller shareholders..
