That could be problematic on several levels, not just the extra pain but the removal of synovial fluid that would contain factors that may heal or halt progression of OA, depending on how much synovial fluid is removed. I'm surprised PAR made pain and function a key secondary endpoint. While it's important to tie everything together, it might have been better to move it further down the order
