You are correct - If you take up your allocation by tomorrow you are NOT entitled to the next divi. The only benefit from taking up the offer by tomorrow (that I can see) is that you will receive your allocation by the 22nd of Dec and can therefore trade those shares earlier (if you are so inclined).
