Readers digest version:
you could sell your "right" (or entitlement for $5.50 or whatever market depth is at time) via your trading platform etc.
Or you can exercise your right to buy and buy more at $41.85 (but they are worth more hence the $5.50 right value).
If you do nothing they will sell the rights on your behalf and credit you with whatever it's worth.
It's a very simplistic version but close enough for purposes of telling you what's going on.
