The last MST report from memory has a treatment cost of about 5K, or $5000, either Aussie or USD,

But costs of treatments is inevitably going to depend on costs of production (which depends on economies of scale of manufacturing) of the various materials including the cells themselves.

Above costs of production which are the minimum, then competition effects margins that can be charged. But in medical products you also need licences to access particular markets - like FDA or TGA.

There probably isn't going to be a good answer for the cost of production at scale until cells are produced at scale - and with this indication where there are biomaterials as well that will also need to be mass produced that will be a factor as well.

Costing is going to be a spit balling exercise at present. And remain so until its clearer whether 3D versus 2D is doable. The numbers of cells in a DFU patch can be known and the costs to produce that number of cells can be determined based on 2D or 3D if 3D is possible. At this stage CYP has fa'ed about so long almost none of the important answers to questions on comparative cost seem to be available. Once any success is achieved though, they really won't be able to hide comparative cost reengineering exercises being done by those who understand the value components in the various aspects of production. We are miles away from success is the problem though because clinical trial success and commercial scale production are two separate things.
