Not an overly convincing statement - 'allocated' to the underwriter - there is no statement to say the underwriter have agreed to accept the shares - there are some thirty get-out clauses in the underwriting agreement - I thought when I perused them that the main one was that if the ASX S&P200 index dropped more than 10% from the day before the date of the agreement(Apr 27) when it was 7261.20 to the second settlement date which would be early next week then the underwriter didn't have to take the shares, so this index would have to drop to under 6535 - it hasn't done so yet and you would now think it won't but some days to go yet - lots of other technical get-out clauses in the agreement so it's definitely not a given that Bell Potter will be forced to take these shares and we don't know how many shares have been committed to be taken by the sub-underwriters. Interesting situation for Bell Potter and AIS.
