That’s exactly right. The underwriters holding heaps of stock and needing to offload it is a classic “share price is distorted due to non-fundamentals” scenario. The true value of the company may not be reflected in the share price for some time because of these “special effects”. The course for us retail investors to take in such situations is clear…we should assist the underwriter to offload their shares by buying those shares from them as the share price falls.
