MIN has as much gas as it needs to support its other mining activities and that is why they got involved in the first place
They also need to keep their shareholders happy and they are anti fossil fuels
IMHO MIN has a 19% stake in NWE to prevent any other 3rd party moving in on NWE
IMHO MIN is happy with NWE as a JVP and to maintain the status quo

MIN have more than enough gas for their needs.
So much they will sell gas to the grid for local consumption and export.
For min to get NWE's 20% and 22% of the leases, it would cost them 20 times what their 80% has cost them.
So, it's a no brainer that MIN are not going to T\O nwe.
A 3rd cannot be discounted thou
