I don't think it's a broken thesis, more that LATAM has grown to be the largest part of FDV due to organic growth, acquisitions and buying out co-owners. In the last quarter's revenue, Infocasas alone overtook FDV's share of Zameen. Back in March 2018, FDV's share of Infocasas did one-tenth the revenue of Zameen.
If you'd bought BHP for its silver and lead mine in 1885, you'd be crazy to not value its iron ore etc. today.
(But agreed that Zameen is worth more than zero, unless anyone can predict the Pakistan macro situation with certainty.)
