Yes that was my thought as well. Like in the cult 80's movie highlander there can be only one! Being the dominant platform in the market is so important, second place is a long way behind and anything after that is an uphill fight for survival with the odds of doing so not likely. The winner takes it all in a virtuous cycle of getting the listings which draws in customers, which brings more listings, which brings more customers. Once dominant the platform will gain pricing power where they can charge a premium and make out size returns.
No doubt we will all watch with interest in the coming months to see how this card land.
