But Ion-Exchange DLE technology has:
1. Poor extraction efficiency (LKE recovery only 76%),
2. High OPEX costs because of the large amounts of base and acid inputs, and
3. There is a potential to degrade in acidic conditions.
There’s a very good reason, no one, other than Lilac, are using Ion-Exchange technology in Argentina (if not the world).
Furthermore, there’s a very good reason, why Lilac have no other clients, other than LKE.
