e-Lōvu is pitched as an eco-sphere meaning it is a marketplace of apps and devices that all are powered by the HeraCARE platform. None of it works without the HMD tech platform. HMD in the USA will be pitching just a straight up device + platform like we are seeing in use at JHC and Melbourne Mums. They are related options but quite different.
the200th customer has already happened and they have another 300 on the go hence the announcement. There are another 500 lining up to kick off demand planning over the course of the next quarter. It’s pretty good traction.
the reimbursement is critical and lends a pathway to commercialisation that HMD can walk towards with or without e-Lovu. HMD can support its own deals now knowing that reimbursement will follow. This is precisely what caused Mednax to stall.
it’s a good announcement as long as the reimbursement piece is used as a catalyst in the USA by our guy over there. Could be quite an interesting year
