The 15th Annual Meeting of the Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society is being held in Munich next week. Rohan Hockings commented that this will be PYC’s first chance to share data from its recent studies of CPP delivery of antisense oligonucleotides.

Janya Grainok, from the Centre of Comparative Genomics at Murdoch University, will present a poster titled Disruption of a Disease Modifier Gene Using Antisense Oligomers: A Potential Molecular Therapy for PRPF31-associated Retinitis Pigmentosa 11.

A poster related to this research was presented by Grainok at the Lorne Genome Conference last year. Authors of that poster included researchers from the Centre for Comparative Genomics, Murdoch University, including Profs. Fletcher and Wilton; the Perron Institute, Murdoch University; the Centre for Ophthalmology and Visual Science, UWA; the Lions Institute and the Department of Ophthalmology, Royal Perth Hospital.

Kim Rice, Director of ASO Programs at PYC, will also present a poster in Munich. The title is Efficient Delivery of Antisense Oligonucleotides using Cell Penetrating Peptides Enables Potent, Durable Exon Skipping in Mouse and Human Disease Models.
