I've been an advocate of not only spinning off any the gold assets on any good news. And have been very open to a company wide take over since before the scaled down model of Bunyu was posed. It would be nice if such a thing did happen that holders had the option to roll over shares rather than just a cash payout. Long term holders would deserve it. Of course, the price would need to be right.
