This is common practice for the majors that own the cheap end of the production pipeline (i.e. iron ore). This is the whole point of been in the first couple of quartiles of production cost. Hey don't flood the market with cheap iron
just because you are in the lowest cost curve.
That's what happen to Chinese iron producers
they can't compete.. Now Indonesian nickel
producers flood the market and suddenly it's
bad trading.
