I think how transformative and revolutionary PYC platform is to medicine as a whole is not understood:

1) extreme potency - as in CNS 30x payload, exon skipping validation etc means drug is doing it’s thing within the cell membrane remediating the root cause of disease in a big way

2) safety - the natural CPP which draws on PYC’s library helps, but also the flip side of a stable small molecule combined with the PMO payload potency means you only need a little dose which minimises the off target risks

3) high specificity - in tandem with the safety profile is the sniper like qualities to target specific RNA molecules within cells - think of it as the impossible mission in interstellar - now imagine a platform that can successful launch multiple successful missions - it’s able to deliver ‘life-changing science’

whoever has had a love one go through multiple courses of front line chemo to no avail would understand the flip side of the frontiers of precision medicine PYC is pursuing. Hopefully we will move on from limited rare/edge cases over time, and have the resources to apply the potential of the platform to tackling the root cause of complex poly diseases like cancer
