There have been developments in using microcyrstalline graphite in battery anodes that allows this finer form of graphite to be used.

In some cases it can actually result in less processing (and less cost), as a lot of the process in conventional graphite is reducing the flake size. Have a look at Talga (TLG.AX) as an example who has some microcrystalline graphite resources in Sweden.

Combining this type of graphite with Silicon has also been shown to be a very effective material for battery anodes with this microcystalline graphite with high carbon content - potentially both cheaper and resulting in a better energy density (more energy for the same weight).

They have sent to ANZAPLAN for testing, who are certainly the right people to be looking at this, they are global leaders in this space from what I understand.

If we get a positive response from them, will be very interesting what the SP response is, as we know there is a huge resource there, it's close to surface, the ITM proposed/approved processing site is on an adjoining property and all key infrastructure is nearby.

Would be interesting to understand what triggered them to look at this more closely again, if anyone is aware. I know @setfire2thehive was highlighting this when he started looking at ITM, so maybe we can credit him! Or maybe it was ANZAPLAN from the other work they were doing with the Campoona resource.
