Price manipulation, bots, day traders trying to suck people in, or any combination of the above. Most people would be long on VXR, some people use it for short term trading. A strategy for some is known as scalping, where they play the small price movements in order to make money, albeit how small it is. Scalpers can make big money if consistent.
Ie, buy at .45, sell .50. Buying up 45-46 and placing their funds at 465 in order to make people FOMO out as if it's going to keep trending up before you actually buy theirs and then they sell their profits/reduce price to get back in for less again.Tbh, there are plenty of strategies, especially if you have money to play with ♀️
