for AAU continuity I think both Brian and Angela stay on the board if both want to, and maybe still a 4 person Board so that the Chairman still has a casting vote, and yes two new Board members is a good mix to start with.
For my thinking Brian deserves to stay on as he's the only member of the current team with any public profile and hence charisma, and I think his skin in the game with his own holdings warrants it too. Angela, as my research has shown is a value add member in my opinion, architect of a number of previous (and impressive) financial deals, so again if she is wanting to stay on, I certainly would find that a good move, although there is someone on the share register with a finance and geology background that may be a good option to sound out and consider too.
Two new Board members to come from large holders, so yeah ASEAN Deep Value fund makes sense.
James stepping back into a Mine Operations role if that's what is suggested then that's a little each way, I have been underwhelmed with him as CEO, some not up to par answers to questions that I have fielded, I've actually had better answers from Christian Grainger. James as Mining Operations Manager ?, I'm sure a rebalanced Baord will themselves align that entirely to Produiction and Budget metrics and detach themselves from tenure / history with the company as being some form of entitlement to continued involvement.
So who would step up and into CEO ?? well maybe I've named dropped one consideration there given the region and types of deposits.
We'll see what and when any changes might come.
