A short radio clip on goat milk farms in China piqued my interest this morning. Basically, a NZ company is exporting goat and sheep milk stations to China and are seeing an uptick in interest in their products nationally and globally. They cite an increase in demand for goat and sheep milk due to the animals being lighter on the hoof and thus more environmentally friendly than cows, the milk form is nutritionally better than cows milk, and in China's case, cow milk is a relatively new food product. Chinese traditionally drank goats milk and as the middle class grows in prosperity, they are buying higher quality products and are becoming more environmentally conscious.
Jat may very well be trying to leverage off this sentiment.
