I agree, I think MCC was chosen with Chinese capital in mind. Fortunately the rest of the world is catching up with the EV narrative, this pivot allows clq to use a proven EPC delivery partner (giving management greater control as it is an Australian based company with bucket loads of experience)
"Fluor is already actively engaged on engineering activities for the Project and has been part of the integrated engineering team working with MCC in Beijing for the past four months."
This tells me that they should be up to date and hit the ground running. A little dissapointed with the delay but I think it's better to take it slow and get it right.
Additionally Fluor as our EPC delivery partner should aid in JV negotiations, credibility/reliability in delivering will surely help.
