Just got off the blower with the STM in country manager for Equador.
He is also baffled by the price action.
Says the contractor, a Canadian based subsidiary is waiting for all companies to get permits. i.e - the contractor has 15 rigs sitting idle.
He met with the contractor face to face 10 days ago to reaffirm availability of our man portable rig. He has the assurances that our rig is our rig. Also we are not paying standby. (Contractor must be getting pissed at this general situation you would think- my inference)
If this guy knows something and is not telling us then he is doing a bloody fantastic job of hiding it.
He stated that he shares investor frustration and reiterated it is not Sunstone mgmt selling.
Seemed like a good guy who was as perturbed as I was at the fact he was losing money..
