Archer will use the simulations to support the design and development of complex
quantum electronic devices required for the future operation of the 12CQ chip
This is classic. We would be forgiven thus far for thinking that it was the 12CQ that would power quantum electronic devices, but no, now they're "developing complex quantum electronic devices required for the future operation of the 12CQ chip"
What is AXE developing now?
My 'fun' interpretation of this announcement - the electrons of qubit material that stores qubit information in its spin states now also has properties akin to better electrical conductivity than thought, so now hey, why not leverage this property somehow.
AXE started out as a materials company, morphed into a semiconductor company and is now back with the nice properties of its carbon nanospheres. I'm fine with this quirkiness, not sure the investment community at large is ready to embrace just yet...but who knows...
