Some time ago, the MD mentioned the possibility of a demerger.

I think that he really meant 'a spin-off', and not a demerger. A demerger is the separation of 2 business activities conducted by one company. SPQ does not even have one business, let alone two.

So, what was he alluding to?

At the time, we guessed that it could have been creating a new company and selling either Nicholson or Victor, or both, into that new company with an IPO. As a result, SPQ would receive both cash and shares. Also, SPQ shareholders could participate.

It has been alluded to more than once, but nothing has eventuated.

I wonder though if the nickel sulphides tenements comprising the existing Big Mag/Dido tenements and these 3 new ones will be the subject of a spin-off. They are far too big for SPQ to handle.

Maybe the Board has been waiting to get these 3 new ones before seriously starting the process.do such a spin-off one day

I know that the nickel price has taken a tumble, so the timing would not be good right now. I think that it would still make sense though to do such a spin-off one day.
