I don't think they give shit about saving / losing face .. I think its about getting a fire sale deal based on the piss poor performance by TIE in regards how much gold they told the market they were going to produce and how much they have produced so far ... TIE have missed these targets, rest the targets and then missed them again ... thus the SP had crashed into the 30s opening up the opportunity for raid / take over buy of the asset at base bargain price.

Based on current gold prices TIE should north of $1
