I think there would be genuine concern about that. I would say all Boards put a positive spin on things, but I think this situation goes way beyond that, even way beyond putting lipstick on the pig - I sometimes wonder if the pig even exists.

The other major factor in my opinion is ego. Getting tipped out would be a crushing blow and the one thing I am certain of is that absolutely every avenue will be exhausted to avoid it. It will be an interesting couple of weeks ahead.
