I can see where you are coming from, but the not so positive changes appear worse on the face of it, than they actually are IMO.
I don't believe the patent claim to be remotely legitimate. The timing, method and various other features of the claim lead me to believe it is a textbook patent troll attempt.
Having to issue a supp prospectus would have been a real disappointment for management due to exactly what you are suggesting...ie: The company appears less glossy then it did before...and for no real reason, given the weak/illegitimate claim.
I'm less fussed about how it performs at IPO...much more interested in how it performs over the coming months/years as news flow progresses.
