Gold in a good position here, awaiting monthly CPI and retail figures tonight at 10:30pm.
Inflation lower than expected will be good for Gold as interest rates can be brought down earlier. Inflation higher than expected is also good for gold because the Feds seem to have made up their mind that there will be no more rate rises. Both ways, real interest rates (I.e. inflation adjusted) will fall.
