That is the point of trading halts - even if leaks do happen, it doesnt matter. Doubt that's it. Plus the article stated it was a close friend to Hancock that leaked the information and not MNS.
Sounds like MNS was almost ready to give the announcement on Fri evening, so surely they would have had plenty of time to finalise the announcement over the weekend.
Maybe something to do with the ASX being not happy with the announcement and it going back and forth between the ASX and MNS till both parties are happy with it, is my guess. Perhaps something to do with their new ramping rules
