Just on your last paragraph. the continuance of the suspension isn't the problem and I don't think it is a poor look either. As @possum87 has posted, the details of the JV deal and the ASX compliance is/will be complex, but you as a teacher would understand that everything in life has rules and regulations that govern the way we co-exist as a society in general or in this case as shareholders. The fact that you are posting on HotCopper dictates the way you are expected to conduct yourself as well as you agreeing to the Terms of Use (rules) The education system itself has a plethora of rules, as does the ASX, all the company has to do is comply with the governing rules of being listed on the ASX.
To which, there was no announcement pre-open on Monday morning (8th) and as such there should of been another request for an extension to the voluntary suspension, which would also enlightens shareholders of what the current delay is (explaining why the extension is requested) , it is part of their obligation of continuous disclosure.
As I said in a previous post, some are suggesting it is trivial or that it doesn't matter that they haven't released an announcement "its ok mate attitude", but at what point do we say - wait, they never informed us of that?
They have obligations by being a public company listed on the ASX, simples.
cheers
