Exactly…even coming in with a lowball 3-5x offer now would probably get a lot of traction given sentiment and the actual ability to get any shareholder value or return (which to date has been more about value destruction). The company is certainly worth far more than what’s its trading at, noting the risk and uncertainty is weighing hard. And this is all a self made mess…what could easily be described as cascading failure. I’m certainly not rushing for the exit given I do see value here, however I struggle to see how and where the upside is coming from…and when. This is going to be a long, painful road back with moderate to low chance of seeing any reasonable shareholder return from JV sale proceeds being actually crystallised (and returned) vs being frittered away as a slush fund, enabling management to maintain high costs/expense (ie. Salaries) over the next few years. There’s so much opportunity here, with understandably low levels of confidence.
