If they had that money in the bank I doubt they'd be paying it anyway. The ship was abandoned some time ago, it just hasn't sunk yet.

I said it for years but by now it should be pretty obvious that they never really expected to deliver on anything, they were simply happy to pay themselves and family members big fat salaries as long as they could convince investors to keep throwing money at them. Finally that game stopped working, and it's now pretty clearly at the point where if they resumed trading no one would touch the shares with a 20' pole, there would be shares on offer at 0.1c and no one would buy them. No one will throw investment dollars at them.

Best case scenario, they may be able to sell what's left as a shell company and shareholders may get an extremely small holding in whatever the new company is. It seems by far most likely however that this company has been completely abandoned and will simply cease to exist. The only surprise to me is that it took so long.
