urge all to have a look at those sites. good info M12. can anyone believe that stat from the second site world - nuclear.org though? in the first instance approx 30 people dead from chernobyl but this quote a bit rich- "In 1986 the world's worst nuclear accident occurred at one of the four reactors at Chernobyl in the Ukraine. In the ensuing fire a great deal of radioactive material was spewed out, and contaminated a lot of the area around. Some 31 people - all workers or firefighters, were killed at the time, mostly due to excessive doses of radiation. About ten young people have died since from subsequent thyroid cancers."
