That's actually something that I thought they should be trying to use the technology for. Like when calls get overloaded at sports events or news ect. Your data almost always still works (expect Melbourne cup), if telcos Incorporated in the background you would still be able to make calls.
Although Telstra data went down yesterday so wouldn't have worked
