The thing that amazes me is that both NAB and IAM were not (it appears) on the same page with this announcement. To me it would be very normal that there would be a joint announcement from both IAM and NAB or at the very least agreement in writing from NAB on the content of the IAM announcement. From this I can only summise that whomever at NAB has given the authority without properly running it through their legal team (conjecture by me) as Legal (IMHO) would have to be involved at the NAB site.
From an IAM perspective I think that Rantall and Team are not new to these things and I am sure when they proceeded they were 100% sure that the correct thing was happening. A lot of fluctuation in share price happened as a result of the announcement and I think ASX will be keeping a very close eye on the result of the final outcome.
