XEPT seems to have very recently updated its website.

Of itself that’s not a big deal, however I have visited the XEPT website off and on over many months now, without noticing any updated news items, etc. (From memory the previous most recent one on the news page was from a few years ago). It all looked very static for a significant period of time.

The translation tool I'm using (Google) is a lit rough grammatically, and I’m not sure what “bell share transfer system” is (though I have some ideas), but "Stock Code" implies public listing. Eventually, using 'SME China exchange' in Google, it turns out it's on an exchange called "NEEQ" (haven't seen it on Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong or Taiwan exchanges). Looks like an exchange just for “SMEs” (Small & Medium-sized Enterprises) (http://www.china-briefing.com/news/2017/06/08/neeq-chinas-new-stock-market-smes.html).

Unfortunately for non-Chinese speakers, the site is all Chinese, but after a bit of playing around, if you go to http://www.neeq.com.cn, use the translate option in Google, then go to the 'Securities' page, you'll see a table with a whole lot of 6-digit numbers in the left column. Go to page 527 (best to start from the last page and work backwards) and the 'Stock Code' 871 116 is on there. Click on the number and it takes you to a page that confirms that it is for "Xiaoqing Environmental Technology Co. Ltd" (http://www.neeq.com.cn/nq/detailcompany.html?companyCode=871116&typeId=1&typename=G&zrlx=协议).

By my understanding, companies generally publicly list to raise funds/expand. Subsequently I believe this is a good sign, as it implies that XEPT are a company that is looking to transition/evolve. Hopefully this supports a hypothesis that the reason XEPT haven't abandoned our tripartite deal is because they do actually want to close this deal out and acquire AnaeCo as part of this transition/evolution. XEPT look to be a company on the move.

Also of note on the website is the following (and I am all but certain this was not the wording on this page until very recently (bold my emphasis)):

"In the future, Xiaoqing environmental protection will continue to rely on the concept of innovation, advanced technology, high-quality products and equipment, professional services for urban and rural and industrial parks to provide a full range of environmental services, and strive to become a world-renowned domestic leading environment Integrated service providers, to become a world-class environmental protection high-tech industry groups continue to struggle!"

Again, the grammar is a bit clunky (not sure about "continue to struggle", though it seems apt!), but it aligns with global expansion, which hopefully includes completing the deal with AnaeCo...
