imho, EDE will still be able to raise funds via a CR, it is just the terms of the CR that is the issue.
I reckon the DJ drop came just in time to bugger-up the Placement.
There is usually a material Adverse Change clause (a get-out clause) in these Placement docs, which includes a pre-condition relating to a drop in DJ.
I think the Placement probably got to a point where the brokers had agreed/ found the investors, but EDE had not yet been able to allot the shares. So the investors were able to withdraw.
I think these investors will wait to see what happens when the DJ starts to trade again.
Then they and brokers and EDE will re-assess the terms of the Placement.

Geez, a week earlier and we would have had the cash in the bank!
