The latest aware letter will have specified a deadline - typically two full business days - and will have stated that if a response is not provided, the ASX will suspend the shares under rule 17.3.
For example, from the 2nd Feb letter:
"When and where to send your response
This request is made under, and in accordance with, Listing Rule 18.7. Your response is required as soon as reasonably possible and, in any event, by not later than 4 pm (WST), Monday, 5 February 2018. If we do not have your response by then, ASX will have no choice but to consider suspending trading in the Entity’s securities under Listing Rule 17.3."
BUD didn't ask for an extension (they may have thought they didn't need to), but that doesn't mean that the ASX will simply not do what it says that it will do.
No mistake.
