Let’s unpick this a bit @probably
“Dave seems like a straight shooter who has been caught out by doing the right thing” – I assume that means you also rate him as competent?
BUD spent most of February preparing a 23 page response to an aware letter for a 6 month old 4C while in an 18 calendar day period of VOLUNTARY suspension from trading including 3 extensions of VOLUNTARY suspension.
Yet for some reason you think it “likely that BUD rushed the response to try to lift the suspension today” despite the fact that the ASX is closed for the next four days over Easter resuming on the very day that BUD proposed to have a response ready.
That makes no sense at all to me whatsoever why would you think someone who is competent (assumed) and who has a month's experience only a month ago of dealing with such matters would suddenly rush a response on the eve of a four day shut down of the market.
Indeed I can’t think of anything less likely.
Besides, had a response been tendered it would have been released and, if not considered satisfactory sometime after review, another aware letter issued. History of process shows this (refer to the two announcements 2 Feb 18)
As the announcement said a response has not been received. No more, no less. FACT
BUD has just held a major event having flown in distributors to attend. I’d bet London to a brick that, the wanted time to focus on the event knowing they had Easter to work on the response.
