    @Coit

    the most likely answer is this imo

    asx asked for a response by x - bud asked for a suspension until x+ to give it time (not unreasonable given DM was prepping the big seminar, travelling and then there's easter break). that request is approved as routine matter of course - the asx would regard it as separate to its own compliance procedures,

    asx has today issued a pro forma note saying the company hasnt met target date of x and so is suspended until it does

    this is a legal protocol measure - its not about substance. it says nothing about guilt, innocence, perception etc

    bureaucrats dont focus on whats right or what is intended or what reputational impact will be or what issues company mgt might have meeting their timeframe.

    in their view its black and white procedural measure that they lodge, file and keep as a record of their compliance enforcement.

    think of it like your electricity bill you are late paying - they will issue you a note after x days past due payment date even if you have since paid it. thats the protocol.

    you need to remember what I said before ASX listing managers are not primarily interested in the welfare of companies they enforce compliance on, nor in the interests of shareholders or the broader market.

    their prime 'customer/patron' is the ASX - their prime duty is to be able to demonstrate and if necessary be able to show in a court rigid adherence to their listing protocols

    dont think of them like a person with a view. think of them like a machine that issues tickets.

    variances are not allowed. but nor do the tickets mean anything sinister in and of themselves.
