Let's be clear, the F up at BIG was around BIG's core operational strategy. I believe you are suggesting the F ups are ASX's, as opposed to the companies'. On BIG, the ASX was blind to their shadiness for way too long, they missed fundamental warning signs that should have been noticed earlier. The pickup on AVZ is an immediate response to what may be legitimate flaunting of the rules, but that is all. The ASX are required to slap AVZ around a little and this is exactly what they are doing. They are not however questioning AVZ's legitimacy as a well managed complany. The oversight of BIG may even be a contributing factor to the high scruitiny we are seeing here - a bit of overcompensation to save face.
AVZ has sound fundamentals as a holder of in-ground resources. This hiccup with the ASX is a side show. Once AVZ has spent their time out in the naughty corner, we can get back to commercialisation of this mine.
