It appears that the ASX is already looking into the proposed transaction by a Canadian Cannabis company which is why the company is currently suspended.
Not sure the Varm Cosmo deal is/was sinister though. It was a binding contract and by all accounts due diligence was performed. Imo asking for $500k is probably more to the point that Varm didn't even pay the $1m deposit. Imagine asking for the full $8m, it just wouldn't happen.
We only know what we've been told and there's definitely still a lot of risk here for sure. We'll see what the outcome is soon.
