You raise an interesting point sparkz. For the conspiracy believers, enter into a "fake" contract with a company in an obscure jurisdiction that no one knows much about, sign a "massive" deal propelling the stock 5 times higher, wait for a few months for some revenue to flow and then when it does not, take legal action for 1.25% of the contracted revenue flow against an entity that actually has no substance to make it look authentic.
Good theory but ASIC would not have a case here unless it was shown that the directors sold shares around the time of that announcement knowing that the contract had no substance and thereby misleading the market for personal gain. I don't believe that was the case here.
