The whole concept of GMV is to reduce government costs into healthcare and enable greater medical access to people.

The company is focusing on places that have large populations and sub-standard healthcare. E.g India, China etc (and where countries are caring about this stuff... I.e probably not Africa).

The reality is AUS/NZ populations are too small to target right now when every dollar of the company is crucial.

Australia has a pretty great healthcare system by comparison. The Prizma is designed to get people off the waiting lists for standard GP’s. In Australia most of us can get to a GP pretty quickly apart from the poor isolated rural communities. Many of us don’t require the Prizma functions.

The patch requires operational cardio monitoring centres to work. While GMV could buy/build one in Australia, there just isn’t enough people who need it here compared to other countries and would be a significant outlay at this point. GMV would have to pile money into advertising and sales teams to build a presence here and logically it doesn’t make sense yet.

With a few runs on the scoreboard and when GMV is cashflow positive it might make sense to try to appeal to the AUS rural folk without much medical service (with the help of the government) but I would expect that’s a later plan.

The good news is that if they decide to get into the AUS market we already have the approvals.

The clock is certainly ticking on this one but I don’t believe it’s over anytime soon as some may think it is. Obviously the big question is will GMV be able to penetrate China . I do like the diversification to UK while we wait to find out. Hopefully some UK announcement is close by.
