Not sure if you are aware of how many banks there are in Philippines? We all know now that Union Bank and Metro Bank (Tier 1 Bank’s) decided to go in house with their own app to keep the fees for themselves. That’s kind of like the greedy big 4 banks here in Australia.
Those big banks net hundreds of millions of dollars a year and they can afford to develop/run/maintain their own app in-house.
I can see how the smaller banks would be attracted to PIL’s proven platform, after all we do have a tier 1 Bank (UCPB) onboard.
Don’t underestimate the future growth in this area for PIL.
It’s all about transaction numbers from the banks, doesn’t have to be 3 Tier 1 banks, it could come from 10 smaller banks.
We already know that when they had 150,000 registered agents between Metro Bank, Union Bank and United Coconut Plantation Bank, they were bringing in around AUD$150,000 (see pic) per quarter. Going by that, let’s assume that UCPB have 50,000 registered users now (they have over 50k downloads in Google Play store) and bringing in AUD$50,000 per quarter
That would represent roughly 20% of last quarters customer receipts.

I can only see revenue growing in this area IMO, plenty of smaller banks out there who can’t afford to go in-house with their own app.

    Just my opinion
