Correct. Pause in trading came after share price movement. The timing of the TH was out of their control at that point.
I hope you were joking about the Tesla comment though - they'd lose all credibility if they turned their strategy upside down... I'd expect all funding to be exclusively China. That was the reason they ran the second pilot plant in China. JDV also alluded to them being in discussions with Chinese banks for debt funding in March.
