There has been visual cores reported in the past before. Both with First Mining and PC Gold I think. It wouldn't be a stretch to assume that that the same has been hit again.
Of course, when they hit visuals before in the past - it wasn't when gold $USD was over $1700.
Also note, that First Mining, in their press releases refer to Pickle Crow as a Tier 1 gold mine. The mine was only closed down in the 50s because the price of gold had drop over $65 back then. Not because it ran out of gold ore.
