I have asked for the above post to be deleted because my thought Nomura was “keen on lithium” came from a link I cannot find now .

In looking for that link I found that on February 12, 2020 Nomura upgraded its rating on Ganfeng to a buy - partly based on lower spodumene concentrate costs vs strong hydroxide orders.

Coincidentally this was the same day Altura announced the three year extension [see here] of the loan notes.

Also whilst the return on Nomura shareholders equity in the three months to June 30 was 21%, it seems it is not doing so well after all.
