While we wait can anybody find a company that gave an indicative date for a suspension to end and did not provide the intended announcement or announce an extension to the suspension by that date?

Needing more time is fine - just inform the market. Simple.
If KAU are acquiring something good which price action leading into this halt may suggest then good corporate governance becomes even more important moving forward with more projects to develop.
