Well, I'm excited because there's plenty of opportunity in the bnpl sector. This industry is in its infancy and there's gonna be murders and acquisitions aplenty over the next 4 years!
Here's a list of them:
Affirm, Afterpay, Bread, Brighte, Beforepay, Bundll, Douugh, EmpatKali, Hoola, Humm, Klarna, Latitude Pay, Laybuy, Paypal Credit, Openpay, Payright, Sezzle, Splitit, Uplift, Zebit.
That's 20 bnpl players duking it out globally. I reckon Humm and Sezzle will be swallowed up within 4-5 years and I reckon Affirm is gonna swallow at least 2 players.
So, Zip bought Quadapay and Afterpay bought a Spanish bnpl a year ago.
Yep, we're gonna see more M&A among these. It's gonna be a real rollercoaster ride!
